Perk up your taste buds and stay warm this February by enjoying some good, heart-warming Chili. Make your Chili vegetarian by trying a new recipe or modifying your favorite Chili recipe to substitute Worthington Vegetarian Burger or MorningStar Farms® Meal Starters® Grillers® Recipe Crumbles™ in place of ground meat. If you don’t have time to cook tonight, just open a can of pre-made Worthington Chili and enjoy.
Here is a quick and easy meatless Chili recipe from MorningStar Farms that serves 4:
INGREDIENTS
6 ounces MorningStar Farms® Meal Starters® Grillers® Recipe Crumbles™ (1/2 of a 12 oz. package)
1 can (14 oz) tomato puree
1 package chili seasoning
1/2 cup water
1 can (15 oz.) kidney or chili beans, undrained
DIRECTIONS
Combine all ingredients in saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve hot.
Note: One 12 oz. package of Grillers Burger Style Recipe Crumbles is equivalent to 1 lb. of uncooked ground beef.
Worthington canned Chili can be purchased from The Happy Cow for $3.89/can and Worthington Vegetarian Burger for $4.69/ can. MorningStar Farms Meal Starters Grillers Crumbles can be found at many of your favorite local grocery stores.
