God calls us to labor for His glory. Our mission is to work for the advancement of Christ’s Kingdom. While Saturday morning services are important times of community and fellowship, small groups can lead to even deeper spiritual growth and connection.These groups offer a strong network of care, support, encouragement and family life that’s crucial for a tangible experience of Christ’s love through His church.
The Akron First Seventh-day Adventist Church is pleased to offer many different avenues of ministry, with a wide variety of styles and focus. From our children’s ministry to our worship team, we love to see our people discover their gifts and find the right place to use them for the Kingdom! Adventurers
The Adventurer Club is a Seventh-day Adventist Church sponsored ministry open to children in grades 1-4 who agree to keep the Adventurer Pledge and Law.
Children’s Ministries
Children are an indispensable part of our church life as our church family includes children of all ages. The children in our church are not just the future–they are actively included in the ministries of the church today. Thus the Children’s Ministries department of our church sponsors many different activities for children of all ages.
Hispanic Ministries
Each Saturday morning our church holds a Sabbath School class and church service in Spanish.
Puppet Ministry
The puppets present a story one Sabbath of each month and are a favorite with our church’s children. The goal of the puppet ministry is to teach children important moral and spiritual values through the puppets’ often humorous exploits and antics.
Women’s Ministries
The Women’s Ministries Department of our church is designed to empower women and to experience a new or renewed life in Christ. This ministry provides an environment where women can share spiritual insights, participate in activities and events, and develop lasting friendships.
